Electro-Mechanical Technician

This is a full-time on-site role for a Electro-Mechanical Technician, located in Windsor, CT.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assemble mechanically static and dynamic components using prepared assembly drawings.
2. Assemble electrical panels and enclosures including, layout, mounting components, wiring, etc. according to a prepared schematic.
3. Modify components using standard machine shop tools.
4. Assist engineers during machine debugging process.
5. Report on progress to management.
6. Maintain a clean and well-organized work environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Positive attitude.
• Two to three years of experience in mechanical or electrical assembly and/or experience with industrial equipment, maintenance.
• Experience with hand tools ex: die grinder, drill, files, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
• Experience with precision measurement tools ex: calipers, height stand, dial indicator, micrometer, etc.
• Experience with electrical fabrication equipment ex: soldering iron, crimping tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree or certificate in a technical discipline such as mechanical, electrical/electronics, software, robotics, or a related field.
• Solidworks (3D Modeling, Drawings, PDM, Simulation preferred) and CAM software.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment ex: forklift, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All PPE is provided to ensure a safe working environment.
